Purpose and boundary

Watch Well is a supportive viewing aid.

It can report camera-derived distance estimates, fatigue-like patterns, and baseline-relative head orientation. It does not diagnose a medical condition, determine sleep quality, assess full-body posture, or decide whether someone is safe to drive or do other safety-critical work.

Results are approximate observations. If persistent or unexplained tiredness affects daily life, seek clinical advice.

What Watch Well notices

When you turn on an option, Watch Well can offer gentle prompts about viewing distance, regular breaks, fatigue-like patterns, and head-and-neck alignment. It looks for sustained patterns - not a single glance, frame, or momentary movement.

Eye GuardComfort-focused distance and break cues.
Fatigue MonitorSupportive prompts to pause and reassess how alert you feel.
Posture CheckGentle reminders to re-center and change position.

Fatigue Monitor

Fatigue Monitor uses on-device, camera-based observations to look for a repeated fatigue-like pattern. It does not make a judgement from talking, laughing, a wink, looking down, or one yawn alone.

It cannot tell whether someone is asleep, medically fatigued, concentrating, or getting good sleep. If tiredness is persistent, unexplained, or affects daily life, seek clinical advice.

How guidance is shared

Watch Well uses friendly, non-clinical language: Looking good, A few reminders, Repeated reminders, and Frequent reminders. These labels describe the viewing pattern BuddyPlay observed, not a diagnosis or severity grade.

Optional reports explain the period in plain language, what BuddyPlay noticed, and a practical next step. Each feature is discussed only when it was enabled and actively collecting data.

Privacy and limits

  • Camera processing stays on the device. BuddyPlay does not send camera frames, face landmarks, or raw visual data in reports.
  • Optional reports use aggregate observations only and are never presented as medical advice.
  • Eye Guard uses a personal comfort preference, not a universal medical distance.
  • Posture Check estimates head and neck orientation only. It cannot assess the spine, shoulders, chair, or full-body posture.
